His guitar skills increased, and he began playing in Moxy (left) but still loved to jam with his dad.

In 2023, Shawn ordered a custom guitar from the luthier Tyson Soth. After a year of working together to meticulously select the myrtle, design the custom inlay, customize the shape, and much more, Shawn debuted the new guitar on Sunday, April 13th leading worship at Wiley Heights Covenant Church.
